Miss Lavigne's Little White Lie (Beau Monde #3) by Samantha Grace

A Scoundrel Drives a Hard Bargain...

Spirited and determined to protect her young brother at any cost, Lisette Lavigne is desperate to flee New Orleans. There’s only one ship sailing to England, though, and the rakish Captain Daniel Hillary will only allow Lisette’s family aboard for a very steep price...

But a Lady Always Gets the Upper Hand...

Daniel prides himself on running a tight ship, and he knows a lady will be nothing but trouble on a long voyage. Yet he can’t help but break his own ironclad rules when Lisette persuades him that being gentlemanly just this once is his wisest course of action.

4/5 stars

I was so excited to read Daniel's story and I wasn't disappointed.  He was such an ass in the last book so I just knew it was going to be an exciting book when he was the MC.  I thought it would've taken a really strong confident woman to tame Daniel and was surprised that someone so young and innocent was what it took.  Lisette was like a breath of fresh air for Daniel and it was fun to read him falling under not just her spell, but her brother, Rafe's as well.  I also liked that most of the book took place aboard Daniel's ship instead of ballrooms and Town.  It actually made you understand Daniel a bit more and the reason behind his stand-offish behavior.  I really hope this series carries on through a few more books, because I really love to read Samantha Grace.  I can't recommend this series enough and while they can be read as stand alone, they are much more enjoyable read in order.
